The Justice CORPS Initiative, a Transparency Model to “mend the loophole”

This 4-minute whiteboard animation video succinctly portrays a new Initiative to help schools rise above the ongoing problem of child abuse and tenuous response on campus. The Justice CORPS – the Committee to Oversee Rights & Protections of Students – is an initiative of the nonprofit, The Amends Project. This 3-year program gives recognition to schools taking a brave step toward accountability by rewarding graded Seals of Excellence in Child Safety over time.

The Justice CORPS model incorporates work by the Independent Schools Task Force of 2018, Prevention & Response, and utilizes Restorative Justice for even higher student safety scores. These numbers will be available for public review by potential incoming families.

The first two schools to participate in the pilot program (to be open and announced by fall 2021) will receive a short documentary film about their experience, for use in promotional materials.
